robots

last friday, dada had some interstate, 'arty' work colleagues coming for dinner so I decided to do a bit of creative expressing of my own. mama and I had a day of making a new exhibition for the dining room gallery - robots. we made 2 and 3 dimensional robots. here's me, the artist, posing for the catalogue shot. I especially wore my moody artist face. good, huh?

these three have no names.

but these three are (from top to bottom): 'diplos-happy', 'sadface' and 'spot'.

and here are the 'tampon twins'. they never go anywhere without their umbrellas!

I insisted on individual portraits for each of the three dimensional friends.

suffice to say that the interstate and local artists were mightily impressed. do pop in if you'd like a personal viewing.

boats @ bon accord

my granddaddy, daisy, found these pods for me in his back yard. when I arrived one afternoon for tea, I asked my grandmama, gai gai, if I could turn them into little boats. I asked her for the sticky tape (mama and dada owe them about 14 rolls up to this point.) and with a handful of her colourful straws, the ones she gives me for the little bottles of Italian fruit juice she treats me to ... we turned them into small vessels ... for the bird bath.
